Julie & Vikas
Indian wedding in Florence
Julie and Vikas are a wonderful American couple of Indian origin who celebrated their love in Italy with a three-day Destination wedding in Florence. The ceremony and the events that preceded their wedding were a dream. Here is the story of those days.
The welcome event at Palazzo Corsini
The young couple contacted us to organize their Indian wedding in Italy, and we immediately thought of the stunning Florence cause of their great love for Tuscany.
Julie and Vikas wanted a welcome event to meet their guests from all over the world. They really wanted to impress them. So, what is better than organizing a luxury event at Palazzo Corsini, in the heart of Florence? The result was an elegant and refined welcome dinner, accompanied by the extraordinary entertainment of the Jeffrey Iqbal band, which arrived directly from the United States.
The celebrations at Castello del Nero
For the second day of celebrations, the future bride and groom and their guests have moved to the Castello del Nero, an ancient castle that has become a 5-star hotel. The couple booked the venue exclusively for the event, and everyone lived an unforgettable experience.
The evening, full of fun and typical Italian food, celebrated the Bel Paese with a menu that has conquered everyone. To entertain the guests during the evening, we have involved the performance of folk musicians. All around, the setting designed for the evening perfectly matched the Tuscan landscape and a delightful climate.
Indian wedding ceremonies
The third day of the celebration was dedicated to the wedding, with the different Indian rites.
The morning started with the Haldi ceremony when families and the most intimate friends of the bride and groom meet each other for this special rite. This is a one-of-a-kind blessing that mixes tradition and fun, celebrating the couple.
Later, the preparation of the bride was a very emotional moment. According to the tradition, Julie – whose hands were already decorated with beautiful henna tattoos, as required by the Mehendi rite – was adorned with choora, the white and red bracelets, and then wore her traditional Indian dress. She was amazing.
Hindu ceremony in Florence
The wedding ceremony of Julie and Vikas went into the heart in the afternoon, when the couple and guests threw themselves into a very animated Baraat. This ritual traditionally takes place with the groom’s arrival on a horse or elephant. On the contrary, Vikas arrived in a vintage car with the beating of the drums.
The arrival of the beautiful Julie kicked off the wedding ceremony. For the ceremony, we set up a wonderful mandap. The festivities continued throughout the rest of the evening and night. For dinner, Julie and Vikas relied on the chef of La Torre di Castello del Nero with a Michelin star, the most important award for Italian restaurants.
