Wedding on Lake Como

Erfaneh and Gabriele are a couple who chose to get married in Italy with a symbolic ritual that perfectly combines the elegance of Persian and Italian traditions. Erfaneh is a beautiful woman of Iranian origin, while Gabriele is from Italy. For their special day, they wanted a ceremony on Lake Como in a truly stunning venue.

From our first encounter, this beautiful couple had clear what they wanted for their wedding: an unforgettable day, framed by Lake Como and its beautiful shores surrounded by a look-like painted panorama.

That’s why from the first moment, we had no doubts about the venue to select. Although Lake Como is a top for Destination Wedding that offers an embarrassment of choice between villas and ancient homes, for Erfaneh and Gabriele the choice was clear from the start: wedding at Villa del Balbianello, the jewel of the eighteenth century rich in art and history.

A mix of Persian and Italian wedding traditions

The gardens and the wonderful terraces of Villa del Balbianello offered the natural setting to celebrate the wedding of these two beautiful spouses, surrounded by the affection of family and close friends. Respecting the traditions of both families, Erfaneh and Gabriele asked us to plan a rite that would welcome and unite the culture of the Italian and Iranian ceremony.

To do so, we have prepared the Sofreh-ye-Aghd, a typical Iranian wedding banquet that hosts auspicious objects for the future of the couple, as the Persian tradition dictates. The moment of the ceremony, however, was undoubtedly that of the exchange of promises, when Erfaneh and Gabriele read a love poem in Persian and one in Italian.

Total white wedding setup

The other special request of our spouses was to create a total white wedding. A perfect choice, which has allowed us to enhance even more the already elegant environments of Villa del Balbianello, without weighing down too much the location and its gardens, which are already wonderful in themselves.

The result was an elegant wedding, in which every detail was studied carefully, to combine perfectly with the elegance of the welling. Also for the reception, the setting has kept the total white with centerpieces that in addition to white flowers saw the presence of candles and objects in crystal and gold. The result? A sublime elegance.
