Xirumi is a majestic 16th-century castle built in the heart of the Sicilian countryside. The lush Mediterranean flora, the wide fields of citrus groves and the original walls, as well as the neo-gothic facade and the well-finished areas enhance a magical atmosphere that makes it one of the most requested venues in Sicily.

The spaces of Castello Xirumi for the wedding

Castello Xirumi is the ideal place to celebrate your love even for the many, as well as large, spaces that it offers. One of the most characteristic space of the castle is the wood: here suggestive religious or symbolic rites have been set-up, among elegant chandeliers, palms and ancient trees. Even the small private chapel, dating back to the 18t-century, can be the frame of a symbolic ceremony.

The swimming pool, the courtyard or the front garden are often chosen to host the aperitif buffet, while the citrus grove is the ideal area for a dinner with long imperial tables. Also the Arab garden, enriched by fountains, is often the setting of a dinner or a party.

Getting married at Castello Xirumi

Xirumi is suggestive even during the coldest months. In fact, the elegant rooms are characterized by arches and built with local stone. The antique furniture is embellished with magnificent trompe-l’oeil, while the flooring is made of Sicilian terracotta, with different decorations in every room.

Big chimneys, made of stone, cannot miss in a real castle to heat the indoor spaces. Also the granary has been renovated to be used during events. In fact, the open bar is often set-up here.

Suite for the newlyweds and their guests

Furthermore, on the wedding night a cozy bedroom on the upper floor of the castle is offered to the newlyweds. On this “noble” floor there are another 4 rooms, which can be booked by guests to accommodate up to 7 people.

This is the perfect location for a destination wedding in Sicily with the sea, the sun and the wild nature as a backdrop to a truly magical event.
