A fairy garden at the Castle of Vincigliata

When Nicole and Owen contacted us, they expressed only one desire: to get married in the city where they fell in love, Florence, and to do it in a castle, as in fairy tales.The young Irish couple wanted an intimate and romantic wedding, with attention to every detail. Their biggest desire was to celebrate their wedding with the close family and friends, therefore they chose to live this experience with only 30 guests.

Religious ceremony in Florence

The religious ceremony took place in the Church of SS Apostoli, located in a small and intimate square behind the Duomo of Florence. The entrance to the church has been transformed into a natural arch, to represent the entrance to an enchanted garden. The couple in fact dreamed of a special day that brought them back into contact with nature, exalting their genuineness and simplicity, but with elegance. The flowers chosen followed the romantic and elegant palette of green, pink, ivory and burgundy.

Nicole was elegant as well, in her beautiful Berta dress, entirely in lace and with a long train, and with her inseparable bridesmaids, also beautiful in pink silk dresses.

Wedding reception under a sky full of stars

After the ceremony a vintage Rolls-Royce accompanied the couple to the Castello di Vincigliata, where the event turned into a magical fairy tale! Since the entrance to the castle, bride, groom and guests have been welcomed by a string quartet and a romantic atmosphere, with vintage parlors and lounge areas created following the colors and style of the wedding.

But the real surprise was the court, set up for dinner under a sky full of stars: the imperial table had been richly decorated with a wooden table runner, greens, flowers and hanging candles, and on top of the couple and guests, a fairy lights and torches ceiling. The cutting of the cake on the terrace, with the bride and groom logo projected onto the facade of the castle, made this moment special too, and the fireworks were the perfect conclusion of a romantic and perfect marriage!
