Destination Wedding on the Amalfi Coast

Juliet and Kodi, a couple originally from Nigeria and now living in Houston, Texas, decided to make their dream come true by getting married on the beautiful Amalfi Coast. They chose Villa Cimbrone in Ravello as the perfect venue for their wedding. A place that provided a magical atmosphere, surrounded by breathtaking views and lush gardens. With its legendary Terrazza dell’infinito, the villa offered the perfect backdrop for their Italian-style “White Wedding.”

From the first meeting, Juliet and Kodi expressed their desire for an elegant, refined wedding, deeply inspired by Italian tradition. Despite their Nigerian heritage, which often involves colorful and vibrant wedding celebrations, Juliet chose a classic white wedding dress, embodying European tradition.

Together, we selected a light color palette that reflected the purity and elegance of the venue. The menu, strictly tied to local culinary traditions, allowed the guests to savor the authentic flavors of the Amalfi Coast, creating a complete sensory experience.

Villa Cimbrone: a logistical challenge

Villa Cimbrone is one of the most iconic venues on the Amalfi Coast, but presents unique logistical challenges. Set in a panoramic, isolated position, it is only accessible on foot, along a narrow path that stretches for about a kilometer and includes over fifty steps.

As the wedding planners, we had to manage all the logistics for the guests, organizing transfers from the airport to the small hotels in Ravello, many of which were also located in scenic yet hard-to-reach spots.
For a guest with limited mobility, we arranged a special tracked transport to take her from the center of Ravello to Villa Cimbrone, ensuring everyone could enjoy the accessibility they needed.

Welcome Dinner with the Amalfi Coast colors and flavors

The welcome dinner, originally planned outdoors, was moved to the enchanting Cripta of Villa Cimbrone due to uncertain weather. Despite the rain, we created a warm and refined atmosphere inspired by the typical colors of the Amalfi Coast: the blue of the sea and the yellow of the lemons.

The evening was filled with laughter and dancing under the historic stone vault of the crypt, with the sound of rain outside making the atmosphere even more special. The guests truly appreciated the beauty of the setting and the conviviality of the evening.

Wedding ceremony at San Francesco church

The wedding ceremony took place at the Chiesa di San Francesco, a historic building dating back to the 13th century, located in a panoramic spot with a view of the coast. The church was the perfect choice for Juliet and Kodi’s wedding. The floral decoration, in shades of white and green, perfectly complemented the surroundings, while Juliet carried a bouquet of white orchids, symbolizing purity.

Baby Axel, dressed in a matching outfit, accompanied the bride down the aisle, adding a sweet touch to the ceremony. As the couple exited the church, a surprise rain shower greeted us. Still, we were ready with umbrellas for all the guests, turning the moment into an even more romantic and unforgettable experience.

Evening wedding reception and dance party

The evening wedding reception was originally planned to take place outdoors, with imperial tables elegantly set under the stars, illuminated by suspended crystal chandeliers. However, due to the weather, we had to move the event inside the villa.

Despite the location change, the elegance of the setup remained intact. Juliet and Kodi, with their joyful spirits, danced late into the night, surrounded by their loved ones. Music was provided by Krystal Quartet, who played a mix of classical and modern pieces, followed by a DJ who kept the party going into the early hours.

An unforgettable keepsake for the guests

As a gift for the guests, Juliet and Kodi chose custom bottles of handcrafted limoncello, the perfect souvenir that added an authentic touch of the Amalfi Coast to the celebration.

Each bottle served as a special keepsake, allowing everyone to take home a piece of the beauty and magic of the wedding, creating a lasting connection to the timeless charm of the Amalfi Coast.
