If you are looking for a special venue that can offer different environments, but at the same time is rich in history and tradition, a village (borgo) is the ideal location to celebrate your love.

All over Italy you will find beautiful medieval villages, surrounded by walls – more or less intact – full of small characteristic churches, inns and craft shops. Tuscany in particular is famous for its perched villages where majestic towers still stand out.

Some borghi can even be booked in exclusive because turned into real luxury hotels. In this case, the wedding will become a holiday to share with your loved ones. The whole venue will be part of your wedding: you can choose a square for a rustic-chic welcome dinner, have the elegant wedding reception in the main villa, while the brunch to greet guests could take place in the pool area or in a restaurant with a panoramic view.

Instead, if the chosen village was inhabited, you could arrive on board of a vintage car, get married in the town hall or in the cathedral in the historic center, set the photos in the various squares and panoramic spots. While the party could be held in a beautiful farmhouse surrounded by the countryside, or – if your village overlooks the sea – in a restaurant with a terrace that can offer a very suggestive view.

The style of a wedding hosted in a village depends on the palette and decors chosen: you can have a romantic mood or a country one, for example, but never forget the elegance that this solemn moment requires. Anyway, getting married among thousand-year old walls will surely be a good omen!
